Those Dots are Planets.

One evening just after sunset, these two bright lights appeared in the sky.  Too big to be stars we guessed they were planets, but which ones?

Fortunately, my brother is an amateur astronomer, so I sent the photo to him. He easily identified Venus on the bottom and Jupiter higher in the sky.

The planets are only visible for a few days, so we lucked out that it was a clear night.
