In University Park, just a few blocks north of monument circle are a two bronze sculptures, Pan and Syrinx.  Originally designed by Myra Reynolds Richard in 1923, the sculptures were stolen and replicated several times.

Today, this version of Pan, by artist Roger White (2005) is the fourth to grace the park.  It faces the Syrinx  by artist Adolph Walter ( 1973) who leans in to hear his music from across the park.

As I look at these lovely sculptures, I know it would be cool to have a replica in my yard. But seriously … who would steal Pan?
