Water, water everywhere.

Much of upstate NY was formed as glaciers receded.  They carved deep gorges into the rocks, which continue to be eroded each year with the spring rains. The result are amazing waterfalls throughout the region.

Niagra Falls are the most famous, there are literally hundreds of other, smaller falls scatted around the Finger Lakes.

This lovely waterfall is found at the end of Grimes Gorge, in Naples NY.

Another Naples Waterfall.

Before you get to the main waterfall, there is a smaller, but equally impressive fall in the Grimes Gorge.  Made more special because I had to stand in the water on a hot day to take this photo.
