Hills, hills and more hills and all the interesting places are at the top. It feels as if we have spent the last three days climbing. But every hill was worth the trip.

The castle St . Jorge. It sits on a hill top overlooking the city of Lisbon. The oldest parts of this building date back to the sixth century. The age of the buildings here is daunting. ( As are the hills to get to them.)


In the courtyard of the castle sat a lone guitarist, pLaying  for tips. You could hear him everywhere you walked.


There were a group of children on a field trip. The boys were battling with swords, pretending to be valiant knights defending the castle.


The girls dressed as princesses, we’re learning to play a game that looked a lot like “Pick up Stix”
