Flowers in the City
One of the things which always surprises people is how many green spaces there are in New York. Expecting rows and rows of large buildings, the parks big and small are filled with flowers and peaceful stopping spaces through out the city.
But of course the best space of all is Central Park. But it is so larger, there are parks within the park. On this trip we found Shakespeare/s Garden, tucked on the lower level of the park, it is filled with the flowers common in his plays.
Butterflies Love the Flowers Too
This is monarch butterfly season, and the city has worked hard to plan flowers the butterflies will love. We found several places, including this garden where the beautiful creaturrs are just swarming, happily jumping from flower to flower.
