In the last ten days I have seen 17 different plays. Some made me laugh, some made me cry, some made me wonder what the artist had in mind. But all of them made me really glad that the annual Fringe Theater Festival is a part of of life in Indianapolis.
Did you get to the festival? What did you see? My list of favorites are pretty long. I loved big hits: Dalt Wisney, The Beast the Lady and the Sanguine Man. I laughed at the Complete Works of Shakespeare, and at Bonnie Bitch, the only American Hypnotist, Drag Performer. I thought The King and I was sweet, and enjoyed finishing my evenings, with a glass of wine and cabaret singer/storytellers Gail Payne and Rupert Ward.
And between the shows, I loved the street performers, musicians, magicians and the explainable Taylor Martin.
And just think, it is only 364 days to next year’s festival.
