I earned both my undergraduate and graduate degrees at urban universities. Queens College of City University of New York and the University of Texas at Dallas respectively provided an excellent academic foundation for me.
However, urban universities, set in the middle of large cities just don’t have the classic college campus feel. I missed that, and whenever I am on a campus, that has that old school feel, I am just a little jealous.
That was definitely the feeling as I wandered around the campus of Northwestern University this past week. The campus and the buildings surrounding the school are just beautiful a throw back to a slower, more academic time. This is just one of the many beautiful buildings on the campus. And there is an added bonus, the neighborhood is filled with equally beautiful homes. If you have the time, it is a great area to just walk around.
