Across the River to Midtown.

From my brotherś co-op in Union City NJ there are lots of ways to get into the city.  You can drive through the Lincoln, if you are a glutton for punishment. There is an express lane for the bus to the Port Authority or the Path train, under the Hudson river.

The bus and train are quick, but neither gives the view of the city you get from the ferry.   As you zip across the river the city gets closer and closer.

You can see all the way up to Harlem, and all the way down to the Millennium tower, but my favorite view is Motown  Bigger, than most Midwestern city skylines, it is only a fraction of the whole city, but gorgeous on a beautiful day. .
