The late afternoon sun, reflecting on the water of the White River Canal created this colorful illusion. It seems as if the water is almost teal, yet his feathers don’t seem to be altered at all.
I wish I could say that I had created the illusion with my crazy photo shop skills, but this was purely the effect of the light reflecting off the inside of the bridge.
He was quite happy to pose for the camera until several children came along with bread crumbs, and then all his attention turned to them. As he started to swim toward them, he moved out of the light and the water seemed to change back to its normal color.
A little bit of bragging, this photo got an “awesome” recognition from ViewBug. Guess I need to share more photos there.
