I have always loved Iris.
We planted a few in our garden when we lived in Texas and they took over. After a few years, they were growing all along the fence, and even in the neighbor’s yard. They loved the warm Texas summers.
We didn’t plant them when we moved north, and I have often wondered how they would do in the cooler Midwest climate. Well a trip to the St. Louis Botanical garden answered that question. They do just fine.
We were there in mid May, and learned there are hundreds of varieties, and I love them all.
