This tasted as good as it looks. it is called strapatsada. It is a tomato and egg mixture served with mushrooms and onions. It is served on a brioche bread with bechamel and pesto. To say it was rich is an understatement
And this was only part of the breakfast. There was also a stack of pancakes!
The huge pickled beets served with feta cheese was perfect for dinned. I was so full from other rich food, this was a nice light change of pace.
it helped that the waitress offered us a complementary shoot of ouzo to finish the meal
We have learned that cooking lessons are a wonderful way to get introduced to local cuisine. So we have added a cooking class to our recent European trips. Today’s class was delicious with spanakopita, dolmades, iman badi and an orange cake
