This week, my husband Andy and I celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. My inlaws wanted to take us to dinner, but they live in Texas. They sent us a check and we decided to go to Recess and take pictures of each course.

Unlike most restaurants, there are no choices at Recess. When you make a reservation, you put your faith in the chef. And I am glad we did.

We started with celery and potato soup, wild black bass on sweet corn, a small beef rib eye with broccoli, mushrooms and turnips and an amazing desert.


I hope to find a reason to go back soon
