Up and down, and up again
Hiking between the villages of Cinque Terre involves lots of ups and downs. Stairs, hills and rocky paths. But the views in the distance make it all worthwhile.
This particularly steep and rocky path is about halfway between Corniglia and Vernazza. The spectacular view kept me going, when my feet said it was time to quit
Vernazza
It is almost impossible to believe people would chose to life on this rocky cliff at the edge of the water, but they do. The village is lovely and if you get their early enough you can beat the tourists to the best views.
