In the 1930’s the Bryant Furnace Company introduced a dog into their advertising. The live dog was photographed and included in their advertising.
Then over the years, they made replicas to give to customers and employees at company events. There were life-size versions made from paper mache and smaller versions made in ceramic. When I first came to Bryant, I wasn’t familiar with the campaign and asked the brand manager, if the replica on his desk was his dog.
I learned, and now I have one of my own. This little one, was part of a limited run made in 1994 to celebrate the 90th anniversary.
