View from Sandia Crest

On a sunny day in March we drove  the Turqouise Trail between Alburqueque and Santa Fe. With bits of snow dotting the hills between the pine trees created spectacular idea around every bend.

We weren’t in a hurry so we took a detour up to the top of Sandia Crest. The 13 mile road snakes up the mountain so it takes about a half hour to make it to the top but the views are beautiful with lots of places to stop and hike along the way.
