Wandering around Mass Ave you can feel the artistic energy. From the quirky Art Bank and Indy Fringe Theater on the east side to the Life Size mural of Kurt Vonnegut on the west, there are galleries, theaters, and cool art installations.
But my one of my absolute favorites is Ann Dancing. The lighted installations sways gracefully day and night. I know there are some people who say she isn’t art, but I love the way the unique lighted piece by artist Julian Opie makes me feel like dancing every time I see her.
The next time you are down on Mass Ave, stop in front of the Old Point Tavern and watch Ann dance, and tell me if you don’t feel just a little happier when you are done.
