Photos capture reality, right? Maybe. What I am learning is that photos capture the photographer’s view of reality.

This flower was photographed on a beautiful, bright sunny day, but by altering the exposure, I created a much higher contrast between the background and the flower.

Was that difference really there? I saw it. The flower jumped out at me, and I created an image to reflect what I saw

Paul D’Andrea, is helping me translate my perspective into a photography.  Making adjustments to the exposure and the aperture helped me alter the photo to reflect what I saw, transforming a pretty picture onto an interesting images.
