One of my favorite condo developments can be found in Broad Ripple, just south of the Art Center, along the Monon Trail.
The buildings don’t look like they belong in Indianapolis at all. The colors and styling are reminiscent of what you find in cities like Charleston and Charlotte.
I wish more developers would spend the time to create communities that looked like this. While they are fairly ordinary from the inside, from the street, they create a welcome addition to the artistic feel of Broad Ripple.
It is a dramatic contrast to the boxy looking buildings on the other side of the trail. If it doesn’t cost that much more to make some thing look like this, why wouldn’t you?
