More than a few words: Marketing by The Numbers with Howard Cox

One of the questions that I always ask new employees is: “Are you a word person, a picture person, or a numbers person?” Most people assume that I’d answer word person,  but in actuality, I’m very much a numbers person. Good marketing is all about the numbers. While the creative execution is emotionally based, the decisions of how much, when and where should be financially based.

More than a Few Words: Do You Have a ROWE?

What’s a ROWE, you may ask? It has nothing to do with boats, water or even my former employee Amy.  It is an alternative operating system for your company.

In a recent conversation with  Michael Reynolds, owner of Spin Web I  was introduced to ROWE, where employees are paid by the result, not the hours.

For small business owners this can be frightening at first, but if executed correctly a ROWE environment can be infinitely rewarding.

Want to learn more about ROWE? Listen to today’s podcast, check out Michael’s blog, or even one of his seminars about how you can create a ROWE environment in your company.
